Airport Firefighter — This is a voluntary State of North Caroline Fire Service Certification program. The program is divided in to three major duties as established by NFPA 1003 Airport Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications. These duties are response, fire suppression, and rescue. These three duties are presented in eleven lessons to better instruct the candidate in aviation fire protection. For complete certification the candidate must also successfully complete the North Carolina Fire Fighter II Certification program.
